Looks cheerful and always happy not only makes you a man who endeared, but also keep you away from heart disease. a study showed that people who have a cheerful heart attack risk smaller.
"Temperament is positive and happy to have an influence on the disease. As a result, you can be healthier," said researcher Lisa R Yanek of the Division of General Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Yanek research conducted involving 1,483 healthy people with relatives who have had heart disease, such as heart attack or sudden death before age 60 years. Participants were followed for 25 years and fill out a survey related to their circumstances such as life satisfaction, level of anxiety, mood, and others.
During the study, scientists found 208 cases of heart disease. After calculating all the risk factors for heart disease, researchers found that positive thinking and behavior can reduce the risk of heart attack by 30 percent.
In addition, be cheerful and happy, and always look positively associated with risk reduction of coronary heart disease by 50 percent, as reported by the Huffington Post (11/07).
To clarify these findings, researchers looked at data from other groups that followed 5,992 people for 16 years. They also found that people who always look cheerful can reduce the risk of heart attack by 13 percent.
This is not the first study to associate positive thoughts with good health. Previous research in the journal Psychological Science this year shows that having positive emotions associated with better physical health. (MDK)
